The ALPA Reflex 6: Reflex Camera or Rangefinder Camera?

Alpa Reflex Mod. 6

There are two universal viewing and focusing systems that divide cameras into two distinct groups. You know the eternal dilemma: Reflex Camera or Rangefinder Camera?

The ALPA 6 solves this dilemma by offering you a unique combination of both Reflex and Rangefinder focusing — in one extraordinary camera.

In addition to the parallax-free single-lens reflex system, you also get the convenience of a built-in split-image prism rangefinder, integrated directly into the ground glass. You can now focus with your reflex image and automatically double-check accuracy with the rangefinder — no error possible, no time wasted, and no parallax — ever!

About the ALPA 6 Focusing System

The fine-grain ground glass of the ALPA 6 features two deflecting prisms at its center, visible as semi-circles forming a split-image. Once the lens is focused correctly, the image split by the prisms appears in perfect alignment — guaranteeing precision focus every time.
